Prior to participating in Howie's Apprentice program I had been online for about 3 months in a fulltime capacity. However, I had not achieved much success. I had no structure in place at all, not only for running my business, but more importantly for promoting my business. I found that I was constantly being drawn in by all the hype out there for the next best thing in getting traffic. Yet, not much truly worked.
However, my outlook now is far different. Thanks to the teachings in Apprentice I have learned how to structure a proper promotional blueprint to market my business. Now instead of feeling like a chicken without a head and just doing anything and everything without a reason or measurement, I now have a roadmap that I can follow. I know what I need to do, why and how to measure the impact of my efforts. I feel so much more organized – I actually have a purpose to my activities now!! What a relief.
The approach taught in the Apprentice program is very different to anything I had been exposed to previously and it really is a great approach to marketing a niche. All the different elements are taught and then brought together in a practical approach. There are some things that I learnt that I probably would have taken a long time to uncover myself, if at all. It's incredible just how much is out there and available to use to assist you in developing an online business.
The research practiced by Howie and his team is again something I hadn't heard of before. Having followed this approach I have uncovered many great keywords I hadn't found before. In fact, as a result of this, I have changed most of the keywords I am trying to rank for as I realized that the one's I was going after were near impossible. I certainly have a greater understanding of how to rank and what it takes to achieve it – I feel that much more empowered.
Below is a screenshot of one of my rankings for a key-phrase that has 102 million results – and I'm in position 9. Not bad at all . Thanks to Apprentice , I have expanded my reach of promotional sites and this is what has helped me to rank.
In addition, I have also learned the importance of diversifying so I'm currently learning my way around being an affiliate marketer. I like the idea of promoting my own products whilst at the same time leveraging other people's products.
Below is another screenshot of some of the commissions we have earned with just a couple of weeks promotion from both affiliate products and our own (PayPal). To be honest I haven't put much effort into affiliate marketing as I'm trying to rank my own websites, but this is great for a start.
Speaking of leverage, the Apprentice program has also given me a fresh perspective on outsourcing. Whilst I wouldn't consider myself a control freak, I have been nervous about outsourcing more from a quality and trust perspective.
Howie and the team have instilled in me the importance of leveraging the time and resources of other people to allow me to grow my business. This is definitely my next step and I'm already in the process of researching my options.
So in summary, I have learned a lot that has helped me progress in my thinking towards running my business and expanding into profitable niches. This also allows me to put into practice the actions taught in the program. I decide to get my feet wet with CPA and go for possibly the most controversial product line of today and compete with the big guys on Acai Berry.
Everywhere you turn people claim to be making hordes of money with acai berry health supplements. So I decided to put the Apprentice System to the test.
Since Apprentice is about drilling down, I decided to go after an attractive offer in an acai berry sub niche – Slim Acai. My affiliate manager recommended a specific offer and told me it was converting for others.
